Travis Pastrana

Three things you should know about Travis:

1. In June, Travis was in a car crash where they were worried he had head bleeding – but he was treated and later released after surgery on his hand

2. He finished school 3 years early after being in the ‘Suzuki Good Scholar Program’ and is currently studying part-time at Maryland University

3. He also loves skydiving, paintballing and driving rally cars

Travis Pastrana has a pretty cool Dad; he gave him a motorcycle when he was four!! He quickly became addicted to the thrill of riding, and in the 18 years since he’s become one of the greatest all round dirt bike riders, ever.

At thirteen, he entered his first 125cc race, and that’s where his winning streak started! He was voted the American Motocross Association “Rookie of the Year”, and went on to win a virtually every race series he entered, including the coveted Outdoor Nationals.

Having dominated at the track, Travis began to tire of racing and turned his attention to freestyle. He remains undefeated at X and has won three Golds at the Gravity Games, where he was showing off his no footed backflips this summer.

But all in all, 2002 was a rough year for Travis, as like all good extreme athletes, he’s spent a good deal of it injured. Now he’s planning on giving freestyle a break for a while and turning his attention to Supercross – and knowing Travis, he won’t disappoint.
